Long Awaited, but Well Worth the Wait

I have mentioned firefighting several times, and over the years I had a total of thirty-one years of firefighting experience. It certainly was the best job in the world, at least in my opinion.

I can remember saying I was going to be a Columbus fireman back when I was ten years old. My mom actually had me write it down in a scrapbook she kept. My grandfather was a Columbus fireman and we lived close to a Columbus fire station ever since I could remember. I would dream about the goal for many years before finally getting to do the job.
