As you know, growing up in the church, we were pretty much taught that we were responsible for being a witness to others. We are supposed to use any and every opportunity to be a witness and hopefully lead others to Christ. Yet, my thoughts on this have changed. Jesus only said to love God and love one another. If someone asks us about our faith, we should be ready to give an answer, but only in love and not in a condemning or forceful way. We can love and accept people just as they are. There is no obligation to force our beliefs on anyone. And like you said, you certainly know your own mind and feelings. And to say you are rebelling against God because you are gay is absolutely false. I think that if christian people would just do what Jesus asked, love God and love one another, people may be more open to finding out more about what faith means. Thanks for your comment James.

Done with religion does not mean done with God, but done with religious traditions. We post articles weekly about living for God outside the walls of religion.
