Oh, this is so true. I grew up in a methodist church. I thought this was the way Christianity was supposed to be. I enjoyed the people and the services and looked forward to being around whatever was happening at the church. All that changed when they asked me, a 20 year old, to become a board member. Wow, I never saw such disagreement and arguing, and all the different styles like was mentioned in this article. That may very well have been the initial start of my deconstruction process.
