Small groups are certainly more useful for real fellowship and getting to know others. Yet, most often these groups are still under the direction and control of church leadership. For me, I have found many like-minded believers online, either in groups or individually. I have also mysteriously run into people as I am about my daily activities. I think as we depend on the guidance of the Spirit within us, opportunities for fellowship come whether in person or online. Thanks so much for your comment.
